Ang University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), uban sa suporta sa Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD), nag-develop sa Smarter Pest Identification Technology (SPIDTECH).

Kini usa ka mobile application para sa digital identification ug remote monitoring sa mga peste ug sakit sa pananom sama sa rice, banana, cacao, coconut, corn, sugarcane, tomato, soybean, ug onion.

Ang husto nga pag-ila ug tukmang pag-monitor importante kaayo sa integrated pest and disease management aron maprotektahan ang atong mga pananom.
